2nd session Grinding it out

Ok the 2nd session tonight went ok . I try to play 2 sessions a night 4 tabling approx 300 hands each time over 45 - 60 mins .I then review the session and then a post. Its 2 in the morning here for me so its late . Anyway

Hand 1 - raised with AKo and then there was a reraise to $4.5 3 x my raise . I jst did not like it so i folded Villain was 15/12

Hand 2 was pocket queens i made the raise got re raised and so i re raised him (is that a 4 bet or 3 bet ?) anyway a cbet won the hand after he called

hand 1 www.pokerhand.org/?1334519
hand 2 www.pokerhand.org/?1334527

so the combined 2 session result was played 622 won $67.4 V4pip 18.01 pfr 13.02

August so far 1926 hands -$106.15 $vpip 18.74 pfr 15.26

Just a few comments ... i certainly find it a little easier with this vpip . i tend not to find myself in so many tricky situations and it makes playing in position easier too , as im finding myself tossing away marginal hands

Also if anyone knows how to export the pt reports ont blogs please help

1) Since you're in position, I think a call might be better but if you're trying to avoid tricky situations, folding AK there isn't bad.

2) I don't like that your re-raise was a minimum raise. Min raises are almost never a good idea.

For graphs, do a google search on poker grapher. It works with PT to produce good graphs easily. For the stats, I think people just take a screen print of their screen and edit it down in paint then post that image.

I would agree with what Rasputin says in both hands: -

Hand 1 I would call the reraise to see the flop and play like a small/medium pair from there on in i.e check/fold if you don't improve. He could be making that play with AQ etc.

Hand 2 Your reraise preflop isn't enough as you basically min raised him. Nice play on the flop.

I like to see a flop w/ AK in that situation. If you hit, you want to keep the pot small, and easy fold to aggression if you miss. By folding too many hands to 3 bets you are making it too easy for your opponents to take away your raises, (this will be an isssue as you move up). Folding here is not a bad play, but don't be too easy of a raise/fold target for someone that is paying attention.

QQ, yeah min 3 bet is bad. Otherwise well played.

Here's how you post PT and graphs.
make sure you have Poker Grapher, it's free. http://overcards.com/wiki/moin.cgi/PokerGrapher

Run PT or PG and then open Paint from windows. When you are in the PT or PG window, hit ALT and PRNT SCRN (print screen should be in top right corner of keyboard). Then goto blank Paint screen and hit CTRL and V. Now you can use paint to modify the picture, such as cut out the stats you want to show and paste them seperate onto another Paint document. Make sure and save from Paint as a JPEG file. Then you have your JPEG to post. If you need more help with this let me know......AIM me at Felted Fool.

Also yes cbetting will work at 50 the same as at 100 for the most part. Use my guidelines to start, and as you play each opponent you can adjust to how they play. Check out my group blog, the 5 of us work on a new subject every week and post a group writing on it. This is something new we are trying out, and our fist subject that we are working on now is Cbets and Floating. Watch for it over next few days. http://unrecklessforce2b.blogspot.com/

Hand 1) I think its ok to call with AK to try and hit the ace you can always fold if you dont hit it.

Hand 2) min reraise is bad you gotta bet more than that he has to call your small bet he could easily have 67s 87s and they call hit a great flop and your in trouble. when your reraising stop and think make him pay to play.
